Bill Plympton
Bill Plympton was born in Portland, Oregon. He grew up in a family like most of us and credits the rain for his sense of creativity, understandably growing up in the 50s and mostly in the rain. I’d be like Harold and color all over the walls, specifically purple. What a great color. I first stumbled on Plympton’s work by chance. I think my TV was just on, and there it goes again, playing those odd animations. I couldn’t help but fall in love. And well, of course, it was about love. The film “Cheatin’” by Bill Plympton was stuck in my head like bubblegum to a shoe bottom; I told everyone that mattered and I wanted more.
